George Stephen Hnatuk

September 17, 1952 ~ August 30, 2019 (age 66)

Hnatuk, George Stephen - Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London on Friday, August 30th, 2019. Beloved brother to Mary (Ross) MacPhail and Diane Bialek (Joyce Tonner). Loving uncle to Erin MacPhail (Warwick Watt), Rachel MacPhail (Geoffrey Strickland), Michael Bialek, Katie (Luke) Barnette, Jessie (Devin) Shouldice, Julie (Carmine) Tonner and Sarah Tonner. Grand uncle to Riley, Landen, Benjamin, June and Yvette, Ocean, and Arianna. Missed by friends and staff at Cheshire, London, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary (Nicholson) Hnatuk. George worked in his father's real estate company as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for many years. He was also an active member of the Lion's Club in London and participated in various other charity groups including March of Dimes and was an advocate for accessibility in London. He was a high school mentor to young people, assisting them with their goals for independent living. George was a lover of music, movies and cars, having his own collection of model cars.Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock, ON (519-539-0004) for a Celebration of George's Life on Sunday September 29th, 2019 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Variety Village or the Thames Valley Children's Centre, which may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home.
