Helen "Jean" McIntosh

McIntosh, Jean  (1920 – 2020) – Helen Jean (nee O’Bright) McIntosh passed away peacefully in her residence at People Care Tavistock where she received excellent care on Friday January 10, 2020 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her devoted husband Harold in 2003 after 63 years of marriage. Beloved mother of Carolyn Smith (nee McIntosh) and son-in-law Douglas Smith of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Stephen (Brigitte) and Michael Smith and great grandmother to babies Owen and Liam. Jean was also predeceased by brothers Harold, Robert, William, Patrick and sisters Donna Payne, Sandra and baby sisters Marie and Betty. She is survived by brothers Douglas and Jack (Beth) O’Bright and sister Margaret Davis, plus many nieces, nephews and her dear friend Helen Johnson. Some people may remember Jean from the 25 years she worked at the A&P grocery store in Woodstock where she enjoyed meeting the public. She attended Dundas St. United Church most of her life and then later St. David’s. A private family service was held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
