Robert "Bob" Hewitt

HEWITT Robert "Bob"  - Passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 30, 2019 in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (nee Collver) Hewitt (1999). Loving  father of Robb (Heather), Dave (Trish), John (Bernadette) and dear friend of Louise Hendriks.  Cherished grandfather of Justin, Dylan, Eric, Damian, Tyler, Mark and Ryan. Loved brother of Jeanne Sklenarik,  uncle to Paul (Marla) Sklenarik, Howard (Wendy) Sklenarik and Mark (Vanessa) Sklenarik and great uncle of Brian, Joshua and Emily.  Dear friend of Lisa (Gerry)  Hendriks and their children; Kallea and Logan,  Maryann (Stuart) Hendriks . Brother-in-law of Helen (John) Davis, Andrena McCallum, Lynn Collver, Beth (George) Caverly and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Howard "Jack" and Esther "Pindy" Hewitt, Parents-in-law; Ron and Ruth Collver and by his brothers-in-law; Robert Henry Sklenarik, Douglas Collver and Joseph McCallum.  Bob will always be remembered for his generosity and commitment to his family, community and businesses. His businesses included; Skooba Restaurant, H & M,  Zor Industries and Canada Stampings. The founding President of C.H.A.A. and J.A.M. He never forgot his roots at W.C.I. followed with his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Bob enjoyed making Maple Syrup in the Spring, growing Xmas trees and farming in the Bahamas. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday January 2, 2020 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at Church of the Epiphany, 560 Dundas St., Woodstock on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Brad Johnson officiating. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the C.H.A.A. (Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association), J.A.M. (Jet Aircraft Museum) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
