Violet Jean Hird

HIRD, Violet "Vi"- Passed at Woodstock Hospital on Thursday, May 16th, 2019, in her 84th year. Born January 11th, 1936 in Otterville, Ontario, she spent the majority of her years living and working in Woodstock. Vi will be missed by her Son Paul Hird of Stokes Bay and his children, Jason Hird of Ladysmith, BC, Jennifer Loft (Ryan) of Woodstock, and Andrea Sinnaeve (Adam) of Woodstock, along with their children who will greatly miss their "G.G." She will also be missed by her siblings Lloyd, Don, Murray, Doug, Ken, Patricia, Dale, Carolyn and Bonnie, along with their spouses and her many nieces and nephews. Her company will also be missed by her dear friends at 83 Kent Street. Vi is predeceased by her husband Don Hird, her parents Lloyd and Martha Wardle, her two sisters Doris and Pauline, and her daughter-in-law Deborah Hird. A celebration of life with be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Woodstock Navy Club, 959 James St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choosing would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004).
