Albert Searls

Passed away peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on January 24, 2026 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Carolyn Searls (nee Weeks). Loving father of Kevin (Tammy) Searls and Darlene (Dave) Jauernig. Albert was a proud and loved grandfather to Tyler and Sarah (Ryan) Searls, Matthew (Kirsten) Jauernig and Jessica (Mark) Ritchie. Predeceased by his parents William and Gertrude Searls, brothers Roger (Anne) and Jim Searls, and sisters Vivian (Gordon) Johnson, Kay (Bob) Abbott and Rita (Bill) Bickell. Survived by sister-in-law Marion (Jim) Searls. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Albert enjoyed a long successful career working as Plant Manager at Teledyne Canada, retiring in 1993. Following retirement, he shared his love of exploration with wife Carolyn, regularly roaming the local back roads of southern Ontario and setting out many times on larger explorations across Canada and the United States. He was a long-time member of College Avenue United Church in Woodstock. Albert's natural kindness, well loved sense of humour, and steadfast faith was a source of strength and energy which he generously shared with family and friends, assisting them with whatever support they sought.

A private family service will take place in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Now at peace with our Lord and Saviour in heaven after a long life on earth well-lived.
