Bernetta Elizabeth Gricks

Safely in the arms of her Lord and saviour, Bernetta Elizabeth Gricks, peacefully departed this life on September 26, 2025, at the Woodstock Hospital.

Bernetta is survived by her beloved sisters, Carolyn (late husband Jim) Hetherington and Shirley (late Howard) Sutherland, along with many dear nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish the memories they created together. She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Thomas and Alva Gricks, and brother Marvin Gricks.

A devoted member of the Rock Bible Church, formerly known as Berean Bible Church, Bernetta dedicated over 30 years of her life serving in the nursery, nurturing and guiding countless children with her gentle presence and kind heart. She led a simple, quiet life and cherished the company of her friends. She also enjoyed lighthearted banter, which reflected her sense of humor.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Caressant Care for their kindness and support during her time with them.

The memorial service for Bernetta will be held at The Rock Bible Church, 1140 Nellis St., Woodstock, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11 am. A private family interment will take place at Oxford Memorial Park.
