HAYNES, BERNICE, JOYCE (NEE BRAGG)

Passed away peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital Palliative Care with her loving family by her side on November 25 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Keith Haynes for 65 years. Dear mother of Ron Haynes from Hamilton and Dianne Chambers and her husband Glen from Embro. Loving Grandmother of Jolene Seip (Trevor), Jim Chambers (Mel), Justin Chambers (Mel), Tiffany Swensson (Scot), Alexander Haynes (Lisa). Great-grandmother of 13 great grandchildren. Dear Sister of, June (late Robert) Quick. Mildred (late John) Ball, Jean ( Jon) Hiscox. Donna (late Bob) Brant and Gloria (late Gord) Martin. Predeceased by brothers Wallace (late Florence) Bragg, Doug Bragg (Carole), Roy Bragg (Grace), sisters Dorothy (late Ross) Macdonald, Ruth (late Bruce) Baines, Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Bernice was a warm and generous soul who devoted countless hours to caring for her family and giving back to her community through her volunteer work at the Southgate Senior Centre. She found joy in the outdoors—whether camping, tending her garden, or spending time on the golf course. Bernice also loved cooking and baking, and she cherished the time spent alongside Keith in his workshop, creating wooden pieces for local craft shows. She dedicated several years of her life to caring for others in her role as a Nurse’s Aide at Woodingford Lodge.

Friends and relatives of Bernice will be received for a Celebration of Life at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, on Saturday, December 6. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodstock General Hospital Palliative Care, the Southgate Senior Centre, or to a charity of your choice.
