Betty passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family at the Woodstock Hospital on August 2, 2025, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Lenard “Len” Wright (2011). Loving mother of Judy Lichty (David) and Patricia Wright (Paul). Proud grandmother of Andrew (Colbi), Shaun, Sheldon, Jennifer (Nelson), Ellie and Ashley. Cherished great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren with another on the way.

She will also be missed by many extended family members and friends.

Betty was predeceased by her parents Frederick and May Grayson as well as her daughter Nancy (2000) and grandson Carey (2002).

Betty lived a beautiful life and enjoyed every moment. Her family always came first, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was married to Len for 65 years, during which she was an accountant for the London Free Press. She was also a dedicated volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Red Cross. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the incredible staff on the Second Floor at the Woodstock Hospital and Dr. Labruzzo for their exceptional care. Many thanks to Betty’s friends at the South Gate Center and in her Bingo and Card group for the time spent together. She had such fond memories of all of you. Also, thank to the homecare team Jill, Naseem and Andrea.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 2 pm to 6 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment.
