Surrounded by the love of his family, Bruce passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday, July 27, 2025 after a brief illness in his 78th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Lynda (nee Heeney). Lynda and Bruce were inseparable, sharing over 48 years of love. Loving Dad of Gemma (Raymond), Will (Anna), Mac (Rose) and Hannah (Nathaniel). Endlessly proud Grandpa of Etta, Marley, Sybill, Orson, Wesley, Lachlan, Cecilia, Hazel and Pearl. Dear brother of Carol Latham and Bob Jakeman. He will be forever remembered as Uncle Bruce to his many nieces, nephews and family friends. Bruce is predeceased by his brother, Larry Jakeman and son-in-law Bruce Haight.
Bruce was very proud of his contribution to Jakeman’s Maple Products. He loved his sugar bush, and making maple syrup was his passion. His other great passion was his guitar and he could sing around a campfire for hours. He also loved canoeing and camping, especially in Algonquin and Lake Superior, but his greatest love was his wife and his family.
