Calvin Stanley Downey

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Calvin Stanley Downey on April 28, 2026.

Cal will be lovingly remembered by his father, Gerald Downey, and was predeceased by his mother, Carole Downey (January 14, 2015). He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Joy (Jim) Cudney, Teresa Downey, and Lisa Downey.

Cal was a proud stepfather to Jessica (Josh) Bigras and Joshua Van Loon, and father to Jamie Armstrong. He cherished his role as grandfather to Claudia, Makayla, Logan, Bentley, and Jaylin.

He will be deeply missed by his wife and friend, Millie Downey, along with extended family and many friends whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home on Monday May 4, 2026, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Cal’s life from 3-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cal’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Cal’s sudden passing leaves a profound void, and he will be remembered for the love he gave and the connections he made throughout his life.
