Carol Lillian Ewing (Tupling) passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Woodstock General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 29, 1944, in Toronto, ON, and lived each day to the fullest. Carol will forever be cherished by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Peter Ewing, and her children: Kathy (Steve) Vens, Michael (Shannon) Ewing, and Amy Ewing. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Emily (Jake), Adam (Victoria) and Meagan (Jack) Vens, and Grace, Beth, Ben, and Leland Ewing. The sweet sounds of her great-grandchildren, Myles and Lincoln, echoed joyously in her heart, deepening the warmth of her family life. She will be lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Carol dedicated over thirty-three years of her life to teaching, as a committed member of the Oxford County Board of Education. Carol's career was marked not only by her passion for education, but also by her profound dedication to the well-being and growth of her students. Additionally, Carol was heavily involved in her community. She shared her musical talents and love for harmony as a member of the Woodstock Choralaires and actively participated in the St. David's United Church UCW. Her compassion and devotion were evident through her work with The Oxford County Refugee Committee, where she helped support and bring families from Ethiopia and Eritrea to Canada, as they built new lives and became part of the Canadian community. Carol’s family is grateful for the dedicated oncologists and support staff at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Center in London.
