Catherine Winters (nee Longworth)

It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Catherine Louise Winters (Longworth) on October 31, 2025 at the age of 63.

Cathy leaves behind, brothers Bob (Pat), Ron (Dianne), Jim (Diane) and sister Sandra (John Feick), many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great niece. 

Predeceased by her parents Archie and Anna Longworth, husband Dave Winters and twin nieces Angela Dawn and Amy Lynn Feick.

Cathy was born the fifth of five children to Archie and Anna Longworth on April 10, 1962. She moved to the Kitchener area in her late teens to follow a job transfer where she met Dave Winters. They were married in September of 1986 and continued to live in the Kitchener Waterloo area sharing 33 plus years together until Dave's passing in March 2020.

Cathy always enjoyed helping others and would often help friends and neighbors whenever she was able. 

Her appreciation for family and the simple pleasures in life were unwavering, always looking forward to spending time with family and friends at picnics, family gatherings and special events and celebrations.

Cathy took great pride in her extended family and idolized her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and was thrilled when she became a great great aunt with the arrival of her first great great niece. 

She treasured her special friendships with Nada and Nikola, and always looked forward to her road trips with her special friend Karen. 

Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
