Colleen Marie Cole (nee McNeal), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 5, 2024, at Woodingford Lodge.
Colleen was born on March 19, 1943, in Ingersoll, Ontario.
Colleen's heart found its match in her beloved husband, Murray Cole, with whom she shared an incredible 62 years of marriage. Their family grew with the addition of their children, Wayne, lovingly joined by Lori Sorenson, and Heather, united with Kevin Ellerby. Colleen was loving grandmother to Codi (Kaitlyn), Nick, Alex, and Lucas. The joy of family extended with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Cypress and Scarlett. The family circle includes her sister, Sharon (Malcolm) Mann. Colleen also enjoyed time with her step-sister, Shirley (Art) Easey, and her step-brother, Ed McMillan, who preceded her in death. Colleen's warmth and kindness also touched her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Colleen's career at CIBC spanned an impressive 30 years. Her commitment to her profession was paralleled by her passion for music and singing. As a long-standing member of the Woodstock Choralaires, for four decades. Her creative talents were further expressed through needlepoint, where she crafted intricate and beautiful pieces. Colleen's sense of adventure took her and Murray exploring the rich cultures of Europe and also snowbirds of Florida. Colleen was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, she also loved to watch golf. She enjoyed summer seasons spent at the trailer located in Spring Lake. As we remember Colleen Marie Cole, we celebrate a life lived with grace, a life that touched so many, and a life that will forever be remembered with fondness and admiration.
Colleen dedicated time volunteering at the cancer society, Woodstock library, Dundas United Church, and the Woodstock accessibility committee.
Colleen made many friends over the years, including Dell Clarke who introduced Murray and Collen starting a loving 63, year relationship until God called her home. Colleen, will carry forward the light of her spirit. Predeceased by her parents, George and Ruth McNeal, Colleen now joins them in a place of peace and rest. Her story, woven through the lives of those she loved, will be told with smiles and a deep sense of gratitude for the time we were privileged to share with her. Colleen Marie Cole, a beacon of love and joy, will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

We would like to Welcome you to celebrate Colleen’s life at Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock on Friday October 11th 2024 from 10-10:45, Funeral service will be at 11 and refreshments to follow. Cremation has taken place.
