Daniel “Danny” Eric Watters, beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, with a small circle of family by his side while vacationing with his wife. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Born on April 25, 1953, in Paris, Danny was the cherished son of the late Dorothy and Donald Watters. He spent most of his life on his beautiful property just outside Drumbo, a place he was proud to call home and where countless memories were made with family and friends.

Danny began his career as an AZ driver, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Over time, he turned his knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit toward building a family business in signage and graphics at R.A. Watters Graphics in Woodstock. He took great pride in his work and in the opportunity to build something meaningful alongside his family.

A man of deep compassion, Danny was known for always putting others before himself. His kindness, wisdom, and infectious laughter were gifts he shared freely. He loved life and found joy in its simplest pleasures — morning coffee on the porch, cutting the grass, tinkering in his shop, cutting trees and splitting firewood, working with his skid steer, or taking a drive in the Gator. These everyday moments were where Danny was happiest.

Above all else, Danny’s life revolved around his family. He was the devoted husband of 44 years to his beloved wife, Barb. Together, they built a beautiful home on a treasured piece of property, where they raised their two sons, Ryan and Andy (Christine). Becoming “Papa” to Mason, Blake, Shayla, Rhett, and Kinsley was one of his greatest joys. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Danny is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Jacque (Bob) Baird, Judy Watters, and Buster Watters and his extended Kaufman family; and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. His steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to those he loved will be remembered always.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, at the Drumbo Agricultural Hall, 42 Centre St, Drumbo, from 1 to 4pm. All who knew Danny are welcome to join in honouring a life so well lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Sakura House or to a charity of your choice in Danny’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

The love and joy Danny shared so freely will forever echo in the lives of those he touched. While his absence is felt deeply, the countless memories he created will remain a lasting source of strength and comfort.
