Obituary

With shattered hearts, we share the sudden passing of David John Millson, who left us on March 28, 2026, at his home. Born on September 16, 1963, David’s departure is mourned deeply by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his beloved children, Willie Millson and Heather Millson (Quintin Roosendaal). His cherished grandchildren—David, Devon, Dylan Millson, Spencer, Oliver, Lucas, and Hendrik—are a testament to his enduring legacy. He was a loving brother to Sheryl Millson (Scott Sipa), Trish VanRooyen (Will), Darren Millson (Susan), John Millson (Carol), and Sarah Renshaw (Lee). He was also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Muriel Millson, who preceded him in passing, along with his grandson Garrett Roosendaal in 2020.

David was a gentle giant who loved fiercely but quietly; his sincerity and steadiness ensured that those around him always knew exactly where they stood with him. A proud fisherman and hunter, he found great joy in life at the trailer by the lake, often taking friends and family fishing on his boat. Gatherings for fish fries or wild game dinners were among his happiest moments, where his warmth and hospitality shone brightly.

His proudest moments were undoubtedly the births of Willie and Heather—a source of immense pride throughout his life. Known for his sharp wit, sarcasm, and memorable "one liners," David’s humor left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of sharing his company. Whether watching The Toronto Blue Jays or episodes of Married with Children, he could be found indulging in his favorite pastimes, the perfect backdrop to his lively spirit.

David was remarkably knowledgeable, a knower of all things, who never turned down a good debate. Loyal to the end, he was a steadfast friend, cherished and respected by many. His many friends and coworkers will fondly remember his unwavering loyalty and distinctive charm.

Though David did not believe in goodbyes, he was known to remind everyone, “Be Good.” This simple yet profound message echoes his character and serves as a lasting tribute to a man whose life touched so many.

There will be a Celebration of Life on May 3, 2026 from 1-4 at the Unifor Hall. 126 Beale St Woodstock, Ontario
