David Archibald Vance, born on June 9, 1942, in Orangeville Ontario, departed this life unexpectedly on February 27, 2026, in Walkerton, Ontario. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness that touched many hearts throughout his journey.

David was a long-time member of the Church of Christ, where he found solace and community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both joyful and challenging times. He had an infectious spirit that resonated with those around him, and his dedication to his beliefs was evident in all aspects of his life.

He is survived by his beloved brother Paul Vance and sister-in-law Fatima, along with many loving nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. Lovingly remembered by the Padfields who were a great source of support for David. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Gladys Vance, who instilled in him values of love and integrity that he exemplified throughout his life. He was also welcomed into the eternal embrace of his deceased brother Philip Vance and sisters Margaret Peddle (Paul), Sally Vance, and Nancy Samuelson (Allan). Each of these family members played a significant role in his life, and their memories will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind.

His funeral service will be held on March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Brock & Visser Funeral Home Burial and Cremation Services Ltd. Woodstock Chapel, located at 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON, N4S 8Z4, with a reception and burial to follow. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate David's life, share stories, and find comfort in each other's company during this difficult time.
