Dora "Bernice" Hopson

Dora "Bernice" Hopson – nee Cox passed away peacefully at Alexander Hospital on December 28, 2024 in her 101st year.

Loved mother of Lynda(Dennis) Connor of Port Dover. Predeceased by her son David(Heather) 2020 of Kintore and infant son Ronald. Grandmother of Bryan, Julie, Russ, Alana, Curtis, and Chris. Great grandmother to 16 and Great, Great grandmother to 3. Bernice was predeceased by her lifelong friend Elsie Sandall. 

Mom was a faithful member of Chalmers United Church in Kintore. She enjoyed and participated in the UCW and WI groups. One of her favorites was the Over 50’s gatherings with good friend Lilian. 

Mom ventured into many crafts over the years especially when they involved her grandchildren. She enjoyed several Florida and East coast trips and was always ready for an overnight shopping excursion to the U.S. These last four years brought her contentment and new friends at Oxford Manor in Ingersoll. 

Our family would like to thank the staff of Oxford Manor and Alexander Hospital for their help and kindness to us and mom.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
