Gwen passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Woodstock Hospital at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Jim Jamieson, who predeceased her in 2014. Loving mother of Anne and Jim Macdonald, late Tom (1994) and Sonja Jamieson and Katie Spence.
Proud Grandma of Jill Dafoe (Tyler), Drew Macdonald (Soo), late Lauren Blake (2022) (Tom), late Daniel Jamieson (2023), Marley Spence and Kinsey Spence. Great-Grandma of Jake and Luke Dafoe and Nathan and Evan Blake. Dear sister of Donna Streit and sister-in-law to Evelyn Paul Casey and John Jamieson.
Predeceased by her parents Herman and Enid Paul (nee Froud), her brother Max Paul and sister Marilyn Noble.
Gwen was an original member of St. David’s United Church, where she was very involved in the U.C.W, and volunteered with Telecare Oxford for over 25 years.
Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, on Monday, August 14 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday August 15 at 1 o’clock with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment at Hillview Cemetery at a later date.
