Elsie Mary Elizabeth Burton

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2025 at Age Care West Williams in Kitchener at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her husband Howard, son Michael, parents Emma and Harold Wilson, step-mother Ethel Wilson and her brother Lloyd Wilson.

Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her sons Scott (Cathy) and Bradley. She was a proud grandmother to Dan (Angela), Steve (Lindsay) Nicole (Shawn) Brian (Angela) and her great grandchildren Wyatt and Sawyer.

She will be fondly remembered by her sister in law Margaret Wilson as well as the extended Wilson and Burton family.

Elsie was a life long resident of Woodstock Ontario and was a hairdresser for over 60 years, owning Burton's Beauty Bowl on Dundas Street. She was an accomplished china painter and displayed her work widely.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Age Care West Williams and especially all on Rosemont Wing who looked after Elsie with compassion and care for the past three years.

Friends are invited to join the family at Old St. Paul's Anglican Church, 723 Dundas St. Woodstock on Friday January 16th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. for visitation followed by the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.

Cremation has taken place and internment in the Anglican cemetery will be in the spring.
