Elsie Bernice Lottie Gunter

Surrounded by her loving family, Elsie passed away peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on December 2, 2025. Elsie Bernice Lottie Gunter (Piggott) was in her 95th year.

Loving wife to Leo Gunter (2000) of 50 years, sister of Joyce Govier (Ken), stepsister of Pete Piggott (Baer)(Norma).

Elsie was a loving Mother who cherished her children, John and wife (Cindy), David, Patricia, and husband (Tony). She was the proud Grandmother to 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by her grandson, Michael. Elsie had fond memories of her friend Fred Hendershot (2012) and her friends at the Oxford Gardens Retirement home.

For all who knew Elsie, you would find her taking a stroll with family and friends, sitting outside admiring nature or curled up with a good wordsearch book.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Special thanks goes to the wonderful nurses and staff at the Oxford Gardens Retirement Home, as well as the kind nurses who took such good care of Elsie while in the hospital. The family would also like to thank Dr. George for the exceptional care given to Elsie over the years.

Visitation will be held at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Ontario, on Monday, December 8th, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. The funeral service to be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 9th at 11:00 am. 

The family invites all who knew and adored her to attend and share their favourite memories.
