Ethel Mary Martha (nee Adams) Dalton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 22, 2024 at Victoria Hospital, London.

Ethel is survived and forever cherished by her adoring husband Chuck of 69 years; and their four children Wayne Dalton of Ingersoll, Wendy (Tom) Brown of Woodstock, Tracey (Bill) Dalton-Kennedy of Miller Lake and Charlene (Rick) Grass of Tobermory.  She is adored by her grandchildren Erin (Chris) Streef of Milton, Hillary (CJ) Brown-Cuschieri of Woodstock, Taylor McCall of London, Erika McCall of London and Austin McCall of London.  Her four great grandchildren Logan, Ella, Wallace and Audrey hold a very special place in her heart and brought her great joy.  Ethel will be greatly missed by her brothers Charlie (Adriana) Constable of Dorchester and Johngale Adams (Bev) of London.  Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her caring and compassionate heart had immense capacity for those around her.  Her smile could light up a room.

Ethel was a voracious reader and could easily get lost in the books she enjoyed so much.  She spent endless hours in her craft room creating beautiful cards and scrapbooks.  Her faith life was rich, devoted and intentional with deep involvement in the life and work of the churches she attended in Thamesford and Sauble Beach.  She made lasting and life-long friendships with her sisters of the UCW and the Girl Guides of Canada Trefoil Guild.

A celebration of Ethel’s life will take place at Westminster United Church in Thamesford on October 10th, 2024.   Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m.  A light luncheon will be served afterwards in Westminster Hall.
