Flora Christena Claessens

It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that the family of Flora Claessens announces her passing.

Flora was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Claessens (1995). Together they built a strong and caring family that remained at the center of her life. She will be deeply missed by her children: Lenora Conn (Jim), Patricia Claessens (Mike Voogt), David Claessens (Robyn), and Jo-Ann Morse (Brian).

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Amanda, Joshua, Rachel, Samantha, Jake, Kaitlyn, Lisa, Nathan, Matthew, and Emily, and a cherished great-grandmother to Emmett, Ashton, and Owen. Her warmth and gentle guidance will remain in their hearts always.

Flora was predeceased by her siblings Richard Caese and Barb Russell, and is lovingly remembered by her sister Hope Caese. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews across Ontario and British Columbia, Canada; Georgia, USA; and the Netherlands, all of whom held a special place in her life.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered support and kindness during this time. Flora’s life was a gift to those who knew her, and she will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Service DetailsVisitation will take place at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 10–11 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Flora’s memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
