Garry Wayne Grimoldby , a courageous, loving, and interesting man, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023, at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. Born on February 21, 1944, in Garden City, Michigan, Garry lived a life full of adventure and love.
Garry was a devoted husband to his wife, Sheryl Houston, with whom he shared many beautiful years together. He is survived by his children Linda Spilde, Kevin Grimoldby, and Trevor Grimoldby, as well as step-children Tracey (late Robert) Kelly and Deanna (Ron) Lindsay. As a grandfather, Garry's love and affection extended to his grandchildren, Justin and Dillon Kelly, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Garry is survived by his sister, Sherline Adas, who will fondly remember her brother as a caring and supportive sibling. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Bernadine Grimoldby, and his brother, Jim Grimoldby. Garry's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and determination.
Throughout his life, Garry demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his family, his country, and his passions. His courage, love, and interesting personality will be deeply missed, but the memories and lessons he shared will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Garry was a proud and dedicated member of the United States Marines for several years, serving his country with honor and distinction. His time in the military not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a strong sense of duty and commitment to his family, friends, and community. Garry's determination and bravery were evident in all aspects of his life, from his military service to his personal hobbies and interests.
In his free time, Garry enjoyed archery and target shooting, which allowed him to continue honing his skills and precision acquired during his time in the Marines. Garry's love for these sports was only matched by his dedication to his family, making him a well-rounded and fascinating individual.
As we say goodbye to Garry Wayne Grimoldby, we remember a man who embraced every challenge with a brave heart and a steadfast spirit. He will be remembered not just for his accomplishments but for the warmth of his love and the depth of his character.
