Gary Joseph Ficzere

Gary Joseph Ficzere, peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Tavistock, Ont. He is survived his wife of 44 years Barbara (Hanchiruk) as well as his two sons, John (Denisha) and Gary (Laura) and brother Albert (Shirley). predeceased by his father Charles (1990), Mother Szidonia (1959), two brothers, Steven (1987) and Charles (2015)

Loving grandfather to Jonathan, Markus and Nora and a fourth expected to arrive in October and god-daughter Carol Lerch O'Brien.

Gary, or Joe as most of his friends knew him was born in Brantford, Ontario on January 18, 1952, more than 16 years after his mother came from Hungary to Canada

He spent most of his younger years growing up in Scotland where his father owned the general store and bowling alley, in 1957, his father purchased tobacco farm in Princeton, where he developed passion for farming, which kept for years, when Gary and his brother Albert farmed together. He continued farming in Princeton while working at the Combine Plant. After the Combine Plant he worked in Woodstock at SAF Holland for 30+ years

When he finally decided to retire Gary enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as passion and love of cooking. He will be deeply missed by family and friends

Visitation will take place on Friday September 19, 2025, from 1 pm -2 pm followed by a funeral service at 2 pm at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave)

Cremation has taken place, and a family interment will take place at Princeton Cemetery at a late date.
