George Wilkins, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Friday September 12, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on March 16 1939, George's unwavering commitment to family and community was evident throughout his life.

George dedicated 25 years plus of his career to the city of Woodstock as a sanitation engineer, contributing significantly to the cleanliness and well-being of his beloved town. His work was a testament to his strong work ethic and determination, qualities he instilled in his family.

An active member of the Woodstock Navy Club and the Woodstock Legion, George held a deep sense of camaraderie and pride in his local community. His involvement in these organizations reflected his character, which was marked by loyalty and a willingness to support others. George was also a faithful member of what is now known as Community Faith Church, previously the Church of the Nazarene, where he gathered with friends and fellow congregants to share in faith and fellowship.

An avid fastball fan, George enjoyed the spirit of competition and often shared his passion for the sport with family and friends, fostering enduring connections through shared interests.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Grace, with whom he celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage. George is also survived by his cherished children, Danny (Sheila) Wilkins, and Cheryl (Rick) Czyczurko, as well as his adored grandchildren Ariann (Dylan), Keegan, Alexi, and Andrew. Additionally, he leaves behind five sisters, Mill, Billie, Winnie, Marion, and Margie, and brother Ab along with fond memories of his late siblings Irene and brothers Flapjack, Fred, Walt, and Art. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

George Wilkins will be remembered for his kind heart, steadfast dedication to family, and his significant contributions to the community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.  He was the kind of person who would help anyone in need, even a complete stranger.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday September 17, 2025, from 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday September 18, 2025, at 11 am at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave)

Interment will take place at Drumbo Cemetery
