It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Gordon Frederick Rodwell. Went to be with Jesus on Friday January 16, 2026, at Woodstock Hospital at the age of 89. Cherished Husband of Helen of 18 years

Devoted father of Larry and his wife Shirley and daughter Sue Rodwell and chosen daughters Nancy Hagerman and Cherie Hagerman, He will always be their Daddy G. & Papa G.

Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Brittany, Krysten, Brandon and Shane. And a loving great grandfather.

He is also lovingly remembered by his sister Kathleen Willits.

Dear brother-in-law of Ivy Ingold.

Predeceased by his 1st wife Esther Rodwell, Father George Rodwell and Mother Olive Rodwell, brother George Rodwell.

Professionally, Gord had many jobs throughout his working Career. Bigham’s Restaurant in Ingersoll, Noble Wood, Timberjack in Woodstock and a devoted Teacher for Erin District High School until retirement.

He was a volunteer firefighter for many years on the Oxford Centre Fire Station.

The Family extends their gratitude to the staff of at the Woodstock Hospital for their compassionate Care. And a warm shout out to Caressant Care Nursing Home for their love, care for the past one and half years.

He will be missed by his friends at Caressant Care Bruce, Gordon, Gary, Justin and Brenda). Contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society (Dementia)s would be appreciated.

May Gordon Rodwell’s gentle Spirit and loving kindness live in the hearts of those, who knew him.

Visitation on Sunday January 25, 2026, from 3-6 pm, followed by a funeral service on Monday January 26, 2026, at 1 pm held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave) A spring burial will take place.
