Gwenyth Elinor Lake (née Shore) passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at Sakura House in Woodstock, at the age of 92.

Born in Stratford, Ontario, on March 24, 1933, Gwenyth was the daughter of the late Leonard and Ila Shore. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Lake and a devoted mother to Christopher, Roberta, Stephen, and the late Jacqui (2019). Cherished grandmother of Luke, Kaylee, Samantha, Sean, Kyle, and Jack, and loving great-grandmother to Ella, Maisie, and Theo.

Gwen was a dear sister to Lorraine and Naomi, and was predeceased by her siblings William, Alan, and Sharon. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as the numerous friends she made over the years.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Celebration of Life on Thursday, August 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Craigowan Golf Club, 595838 Hwy 59 N, R.R. #6, Woodstock, Ontario, N4S 7W1. A brief ceremony will be followed by a reception.
