DAVIDSON, H. Murray - Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in his 92nd year. Howard Murray Davidson, beloved husband for 52 years of the late Irene McKenzie Davidson (January 2009). Son of Mortham Ambrose Davidson (1946) and Ethel Davidson (1958). Fondly remembered by several cousins and the extended McKenzie family. Murray was born in Brantford. He moved to Woodstock when he was eight years old and has resided in the community since that time. He was a longtime member of Chalmers (Faith) United Church, the Woodstock Horticultural Society, the Woodstock Lawn Bowling Club and the Woodstock Curling Club. He held various positions in local industry during the period 1936 to 1982. Murray was a four year veteran of the RCAF having served overseas as a Navigator. Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held in the chapel of the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Camillia LaRouche officiating. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Woodstock.
