Horst Klaus Meder

MEDER, Horst K. – Passed away suddenly at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in his 82nd year. He leaves behind his beloved wife Olive Pierce Meder of over 60 years and his cherished daughter Diana. Dear brother-in-law of Erich (late Irmgard) Ruettinger, uncle to Rose (Will) Entz and their children Leah, Kirsten, and Adam, Barb (Russ) Emerson and their children Megan and Allison and will be remembered by his many friends and extended family. He is survived by his brother Waldemar (late Margot) and Sister-in-law Hildegard (late Herman) and their families in Germany. Horst was happiest at his desk painting on canvas or rocks featuring wildlife and nature and which have been dispersed across the country. He was an avid fisherman who was always looking for that next big one, especially at his favourite spot in Port Elgin. To know Horst was to have an appreciation for his big heart and sense of humour and his deep love of his family.  A private time of remembrance will take place by the family.
