It is with deep love and heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Jane Lambert, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully in her 92nd year.

Born in Bredasdorp, South Africa, Jane was the cherished daughter of Helena and Henry Coetzee. She later emigrated to Canada, where she settled and became a longtime resident of Woodstock. Jane was predeceased by her devoted husband, Cyril (2008), with whom she shared many wonderful years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Jeremy (Kimberly) and their son, Schyler, and Robin (Sarah) and their children, Teagan and Keira. She was predeceased by her siblings Henry, Peggy, and Judith and is survived by her dear sisters Helene of Ireland and Yolande and Freda (Desmond) of South Africa, along with many cherished relatives and dear friends whose lives were brightened by her warmth, generosity, and kindness.

Jane raised her boys in hockey rinks, cheering them on with unwavering pride. She created a home where the door was always open and laughter was plentiful. She was well known for her wide circle of friends, her home-cooked meals, lively late-night gatherings, and, of course, her infamous cup of tea.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Woodstock Hospital and Sakura House for their exceptional care and kindness.

A private celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
