"Jim" James Hoffer

“Jim” James Hoffer, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Kitchener, Ontario. He was 88 years old and lived a life dedicated to the land he cherished as a long-time farmer in the Drumbo-Innerkip Community.

Born on February 22, 1937, Jim's commitment to his family and community shone through his work and the relationships he cultivated over the years. He was known for his unwavering dedication to farming and the values of hard work and integrity that it instilled in him. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jim appreciated his wisdom and humour.

Jim is survived by his children, Paul (Sandi) Hoffer, Eric (Shelley) Hoffer, Nancy (Chris) Clements, Janet (Gerry) Atkinson, Sharon (Phil Hall) Perissinotti, and Michelle (Josh) Chesney. He took great pride in his grandchildren: Emily (Autumn), Stephanie, Trinity (Jake), Alexandra, Noah, Edwin, Sarah, Evelyn, Kylie, Avery, Rylin, Ethan, Isabelle, Lucy, Patrick, and Sean. Jim is a also proud great-grandfather to Beckett and Ophelia.

He is additionally survived by his sister, Mary Kristof, and his brother, Steve (Karin) Hoffer, along with several nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Jim was predeceased by his beloved spouse, Marilyn, in 2002, and his sister, Regina Schieman. He cherished the many years spent together with Marilyn and found joy in sharing his life with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Brock & Visser Funeral Home Burial and Cremation Services Ltd., Woodstock Chapel, located at 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Ontario. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, also on July 3, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, at 1420 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario.
