John Wallwork

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Wallwork, who died peacefully on October 21st, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Heswall, Merseyside, England on September 21, 1948, to the late Ken and Margaret Wallwork.

Beloved husband of Susan Helen Wallwork (of Tarvin, Cheshire, England). Loving father of Mark John Wallwork (Winnipeg, Manitoba), Steven Wallwork (Woodstock, Ontario), and Andrew Lee Wallwork (Thamesford, Ontario). Cherished father-in-law of Susanne Theresa Wallwork.

Proud grandfather of Gage and Courtney Slater (Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba), Jordan and Autumn Menary (Aylmer, Ontario), and Sam Roseanna Brindey (Clinton, Ontario). Much-loved great-grandfather of Ivy and Elijah Menary (Aylmer, Ontario).

Dear brother of Alan Wallwork and brother-in-law of Ian and Wendy Waterhouse. Loved uncle of Sheryl Colette Waterhouse and Annette Leonie Gregory.

John immigrated to Canada in 1977, settling in Port Elgin, Ontario, to begin his career at BNPD. He later resided in Port Dover and Woodstock. John had a zest for life and a variety of passions. He loved cars and boats and took great joy in coaching kids' sports. He and Susan cherished their time camping and traveling, making many lifelong friends along the way. He was also fondly known for his unique skill of sweeping chimneys!
