PYE, June Helen (nee Eagles) – Passed away peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock on Sunday June 26, 2022, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” B. Pye (1974). Loving mother of Lesley (Paul) McFadden, Joel Pye, and Lorraine (Bob) Waddell. Cherished grandmother of Nicole (Rick) Wolf and great grandmother to Alyssa and Lindsey. Dear sister to Harvey Eagles. Predeceased by her siblings Alan Eagles and Doreen Morello. June was a long-time active member of Old St. Paul’s Church, Woodstock. She became a Lay Reader within the church in the late 70’s and continued her readings and altar duties to the present day. June was also very active with the A.C.W. and the Diocese of Huron. She was also a past employee of the Woodstock Sentinel Review in the Classified Dept. June will always be remembered for her smile, infectious attitude towards life, her ability to walk everywhere even until her last days, and her passion for gardening was admired by many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday July 1, 2022, from 5-7 pm. The funeral service to honour June’s life will be held at Old St. Paul’s Church, 723 Dundas St., Woodstock on Saturday July 2, 2022, at 11:00 am with Rev. Rob Luxton and Rev. Ted Winter officiating.
