The man, the myth, the legend ; Karl Victor Davis, known to many as “Boss man” or as he would say the “Legend of Demolition & Scrap”. passed away on January 12, 2024, in Woodstock, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 4, 1963 in Gorey Co. Wexford , Ireland, K.V.D. grew to be a man of formidable presence and heart, whose legacy will never be forgotten.

He was the proud owner and operator of Shamrock Metal Recycling. Karl's empire will continue to run and grow exactly how he wanted. Karl's lasting LEGACY is that of a truly self-made man, a hard worker, loyal friend and one-in-a-million machine operator.

He was a proud and loving father to Melysa, Meghan, and Jayson Davis, and he held a special place for his bonus son, Dave 'Tig'.

In 2009, Karl was predeceased by his cherished wife, Shelley, with whom he shared a love that many aspire to but few truly find. Karl is also welcomed in heaven by his late sister Gloria (2017) and his parents, Victor and Sarah Davis.

Karl's legacy is also carried on by his brothers, Keith and Kenneth Davis, and his brother-in-law, Mark O'Shea. His role as a fun-loving uncle to Steve and Joe will be remembered with smiles. Karl's favourite people, Nicki and her sons Zach and Gavin, as well as Mark D'Sousa "Diplomat," will fondly recall the joy he brought into their lives.

He was a man who faced life's challenges head-on, who loved deeply, and whose heart was bigger than his body. Karl would give you the shirt of his back and never ask for anything in return. The "Legend of Demolition & Scrap” may have left the physical world, but his legend will continue to inspire and resonate with all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11am-1pm, with a service celebrating Karl’s life beginning at 1pm in the funeral home chapel.
