BORRIS, Ken - Suddenly, as the result of a brain aneurysm, at University Hospital, London on Saturday March 31, 2012, feast day of St. Benjamin. Kenneth Alexander Borris of Woodstock in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Thompson) Borris for over 32 years. Dear father of Stephanie Austin and her husband Benjamin of London, Alanna Borris (Derek Fitzpatrick) of London and Gregory Borris of Woodstock. Adoring grandfather of Kenton Austin. Cherished son of Kay (nee Clevette) Borris of Niagara Falls and the late Joseph Clarence Borris (2011). Dear brother to David Borris of Niagara Falls and brother-in-law to Mara Dzisiak (John), Blaise Thompson, Patricia Thompson-Boyko (Darren), Sean Thompson (Sherry), Lauren Brown and Dana Pavlick (Thomas) all of Uxbridge, Andrea Curts (Daniel) of London, Judith Golob (Gary) of Sarnia, Michael Thompson (Elizabeth) of Lakefield and Christianne Thompson of Toronto. Ken is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents-in-love Thomas Joseph Thompson and Helen Elizabeth (nee Murphy) Thompson. Several communities will remember Ken for his tireless giving of self to charitable ventures. As befits a man who was an educator for over three decades, Ken prioritized children, first and foremost his own. He also participated enthusiastically in the lives of his young in-laws, tirelessly defended the unborn, and was dedicated to the students in his care, (particularly the most vulnerable ones). Last month he also joyously welcomed his first grandchild. To all of these areas he brought a kindly patience and boundless good humour, derived from his deep faith. All are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday April 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 904 Dundas St., Woodstock on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Fr. Richard Dale and Fr. Robert Barringer C.S.B. officiating. Interment to be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Toronto on Thursday April 5, 2012 at 11:00 am. If desired, memorial contributions to the Campaign Life Coalition would be appreciated.
