OTT Leo – Our beloved father Leo Ott went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock.  Predeceased by his cherished wife Mathilda (nee Weresch). Leaving behind his adored daughters and son in-laws, Marilyn (Charles), Beverly (Glenn), Kimberly (Thanos) and beloved grandchildren Charles JR (Kristen), Chantel (John), Mackenzie (Kayla), Nathan (Alexandra), Nadine and Grace.  Leo is survived by his brother Edmund, sister-in-laws, Joyce Ott, Elfriede Green, Betty, Sandy, Ruby, and brother-in-laws, Oscar Goehner, Thomas, Paul, Adam, John and Frank Weresch as well as several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.  Predeceased by his brother Ewald, sister-in laws’s, Frieda, Crystal, Anna, Pat, Dorothy, and brother-in-laws Andy Weresch and Phillip Green. Leo was born on September 5th, 1935 in Poland to Martha (Klammer) and August Ott.  He then moved to Germany after WWll and in 1957 immigrated to Canada and was married in 1960 in Chilliwack, BC.  Leo and Mathilda then moved to Kitchener, eventually retiring to Eastwood, Ontario. He was a faithful provider and a hard worker with a gentle spirit.  Leo worked at Sunnyside home for the aged for 35 years and during that time he completed his college program as a Health Care Aid.  During his retirement Leo enjoyed gardening, tending to his chickens and dogs and spending endless hours with his grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed but we rejoice in knowing that he is at peace.  Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday, September 30th, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON. (519-539-0004).  Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
