FORCE, Leona (nee Barnes) - Passed away peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday, March 26, 2019in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Carl Lewis Force (2010) for over 56 years. Dear mother of Doug Force (Karen) and Donna Marie Gardiner (Al), and mother-in-law to Gord Bruce. Loved grandmother of Jennifer Arthur (Steven), Angela Valleau (John), Rebecca Hird (Matt), Shelley Marshall (Bryan), Shawn Force, James Gardiner (Trudy), Carl Gardiner (Amanda). Proud great grandmother of Michael, Emily, Curtis, Devyn, Dominic, Alexander, Nathan, Abby, Skyla, Olivia, Jacob, Payton, Aiden, Jaxson, Emerson, Wyatt, Evan, Elizabeth, and Ava. Dear sister to Bill Rivias (Sid), Marlene Guillemette (Al), Wayne Barnes (Phyllis), Wendy Rafferty (Jim), and Alex (Deb) Barnes, and sister-in-law Virginia Barnes. Predeceased by her daughter Deborah Ann Bruce (2008), and her brothers Gordon and Fred Barnes, sister Ethel Harmer, sister-in-law Dora Force, and brother-in-law Hubert Force. Leona will be lovingly remembered by the Force family and by her many nieces, and nephews. Leona was always found knitting or crocheting something beautiful for any upcoming babies, whether for her family or friends. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Sunday, March 31st , 2019 from 1 to 4 pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel on Monday, April 1st, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Interment in the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the V.O.N.
