Leone Hazel Sutor

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Leone Hazel Sutor on December 28,2025 after 93 years of a wonderful life. Leone passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Leone was a beloved ,devoted wife to her Douglas ,till his passing in May 2025. Together they built a beautiful life in Guelph for 67 years ,where their lifetime memories of love , faith and adventure were made ,before recently relocating to Woodstock.

Leone was a dearly loved mother, grandmother and “supergrandma” ,which were her most gifted roles.

She will be so very missed by her girls and their husbands, Carolyn and David Rumble of Blenheim, and Margaret and Ken Van dyk of Woodstock.

She had a keen interest and love for her grandchildren, Kerry and Andrew Jack, Jackie and Dave Pfaff, Jessica and Will Garant, Joshua and Dallas Van Dyk , Laura and Stephen Hogan . She held in her heart her predeceased grandson Nicholas Van Dyk.

Her joy in later years was enhanced by her great grandchildren, Lily, Avery and Kallie Jack; Lincoln and Mickey Pfaff; Spencer, Mara and Owen Garant; Keaton and Everett Van Dyk and Noah, Leo and Archie Hogan.

Predeceased by her sister Agnes and her husband John King ,and sister-in-law Jean and her husband Richard Emerson. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Leone was a talented musician who took great pleasure in sharing her musical talents with so many others, spreading her love and enjoyment of the piano over the Guelph community with her involvement in various choirs and organizations throughout her lifetime.

She dearly wished her music brought as much joy to others as it brought her.

Visitation will take place on Thursday January 8, 2026 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday January 9, 2026 at 1 pm held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock, On. 519-539-0004 )
