Linda Jean (Dufton) Clendinning, of Thorndale, ON, at the age of 72 (blessed with an additional 3 years following her stroke), passed away late Sunday, July 24th, 2022 at Stratford General Hospital. Remembered fondly as an avid organizer, a hard worker and prayer warrior, Linda was always eager to serve and make a difference in her family and community. Linda was a passionate educator for 33 years at Oxbow Public School before retiring in 2002. Following retirement, she continued to serve her community in her church and through volunteer musical entertainment with her husband at local nursing homes. Linda loved the Lord and shared her faith with enthusiasm, believing that the trials of this life are but for a season.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Fred Clendinning, their children, Matthew Clendinning of St.Mary’s, Julie and Kayode Famewo of Brampton, and Andrew and Mandy Clendinning of Ottawa, along with their six grandchildren Peyton, Dara, Harper, Kayla, Tenley, and Nolan. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Jean Clendinning, her siblings Murray (Shirley), Bill (Janet), Brian (deceased 2000) (Jani), Bob (Debbie), Alice (Barry Hoskin), Elaine (Rodger Scheuermann), many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jean (Sterritt) Dufton, and her father-in-law, Jim Clendinning.

Visitation will take place Thursday, July 28th at Brock Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, ON from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life will occur at the same location Friday, July 29th at 11 am, officiated by Rev. George Elliott. Burial will follow the service at Banner United Cemetery, 602800 Township Road 60 with refreshments at Truth Community Church, 154978 15 Line, Thamesford.
