Lloyd Donald Noyce, peacefully passed away on December 9, 2024, in Woodstock, Ontario. Born on July 28, 1940, in Owen Sound, Don lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.
A long-time employee of Timberjack, Don dedicated much of his life to hard work and creating lasting relationships with his colleagues. He also made a significant mark in the lives of local youth, serving as a long-time coach of the Youth Bowling at C&D Lanes. His passion for bowling began alongside his wife, Wilma (nee Alblas), with whom he shared countless cherished moments on the lanes. Even as age took its toll, his interest in bowling continued, demonstrating his unwavering spirit and zest for life.
Don was a man who cherished his family above all else. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Wilma, and together they built a warm and loving home filled with kindness, humor, and joyful memories. He took great pride in his children, Donnie Jr. (Beth), Carol Skillings (Dave), and Terry Matthews (Randy), always encouraging them and supporting their endeavors with an open heart and a great sense of humor.
As a loving papa and grandpa, Don’s affections reached far and wide, embracing Gregory (Haley), Jamie (Nev), Rachel (Josh), Corey, Shelley, Julie (Dan), Chad, and Mitch, as well as their families. The warmth of his love extended to his great-grandchildren, Tyra (Joe), Austin, and Jax, whose lives were brightened by his laughter and gentle spirit.
Donald was also surrounded by a tight-knit family of siblings who loved him dearly: Joan VanAcker, Keith Noyce, Penny Whitcroft (Victor), Mike Noyce (Cindy), sister-in-law Diana Noyce, and brother-in-law Larry Pearce. His legacy includes many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom will carry forth his memory in their hearts.
Preceded in death by his parents, Melva and Richard Noyce, his brother Richard Noyce, sisters Patti Collins and Carol Noyce, and brothers-in-law Kirt VanAcker, and Norman Collins, Don leaves behind a legacy filled with love, guidance, and ample memories that will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his life.
