Margaret Rose Maycock, née Bingeman, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 2nd, 2026, at Secord Trails in Ingersoll, Ontario. Born on June 1st, 1941, in Woodstock, Ontario, she lived a life rich in passion, creativity, and devotion to family.
Margaret was a woman who embraced life with a vibrant spirit and exceptional grace. A gifted artist, she found immense joy in painting and participating in The Woodstock Choralaires, sharing her love of music and harmony with those around her. Her talents extended to the greens as a golfer, a testament to her dedication and competitive nature. Those who knew her also cherish memories of her playing the piano, a soothing contrast to her energetic pursuits such as badminton.
Her greatest joy was found in her family. She was a loving wife to Robert "Bob," whom she married in 1976, and a devoted mother to her children, Suzanne Chapman, David (Sheryl) McDowell, Stephen McDowell, Liz (Jeremy) Jessell, and David (Elizabeth) Maycock. Margaret’s nurturing spirit extended warmly to her grandchildren, Jordan (Mariah), Jeremy (Kyla), Danielle (Robert), Ryan (Shelby), Shannon (Tate), Greg, Dawna, Adam, Daniel, Sarah, Zach, Josh, and Emma, and she treasured her many great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Suzanne (Paul) Ambrose, and nieces, Sarita, Mica, and Kelly.
Margaret was preceded in death by her son Stephen, her beloved parents Stan and Merle Bingeman, and her brother David.
Margaret Rose Maycock leaves behind a legacy defined by her talents, her passions, and her unwavering love for her family. Her kindness, creativity, and joyful spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered with great respect and affection. Her family and friends mourn her loss but also celebrate the remarkable life she led, a life that truly embraced the beauty and possibilities of the world.
