Marianne Michelle
Park Ruffin
July 16, 1959 – May 12, 2026
Daughter of the late John D. Park and Sylvia Jean Park (nee Deadman). Soulmate and partner of David Ruffin of Detroit, Michigan. Dearly loved and sadly missed by her only sister, Deborah (Desi) Park of Woodstock. Also mourned by her brother and fellow CFL supporter, Allan M. Park and his dear wife, Jane McDonald of Wilton, Ontario.
Marianne was a big supporter of the CFL and her team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She sat on numerous boards and regulatory colleges in health regulation. She was an instructor at the Ontario Police College and acted as a subject matter expert for the University Health Network in Toronto. She served as an adjudicator for the Chartered Public Accountants of Ontario, as chair of the Social Planning Council of Oxford County and as chair of Options for Justice at the time of her passing.
She was always a fighter for social justice. Hers was a clear, strong voice in support of people with disabilities and equality for anyone whose voice is not being heard.
She will be missed by many friends and colleagues and especially by her fur babies : Padriag, James and Seoin.
According to her wishes, a funeral will not be held. To everyone that misses her, remember the words she often wished for you, and pass them on: “Have a sparkling day!”
