On August 25, in her 95th year, Marion Green, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home, in the presence of her family at Sakura house. She was predeceased of her husband Donald Robert Green (2007), her parents Gordon and Marguerite (Dickson) Fry, her brother Bob Fry, and great-grandson Devon Minda. Mother of Betty Lou (Gerry) Chambers, Pauline (Larry) Simpson, Margaret (Howard) Bigham. Dawn (Bob) Fischer, Allan and Debbie Green and Joanne Hicks. Lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Born November 27, 1929 in Georgetown, then Sudbury until she relocated to Woodstock at the age of 14. She attended WCI where her musical interests took center stage. She completed her nurse’s training at Woodstock General Hospital, and shortly after attended Moody Bible College in Chicago. After returning to Woodstock she married Donald.   She worked for many years as a nurse in the OB department at Woodstock Hospital.

She was an active member of Oxford Baptist Church where her musical gifts were used in ministry and service. In her recent residence at Oxford Gardens she blessed mealtimes at the grand piano.

For those wishing there will be visitation at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock from 10 to 11 am Thursday August 29, followed by a service in the chapel and a light lunch. Interment at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery will take place later in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the benevolent fund at Oxford Baptist Church or Sakura House.
