Marion dedicated many years of her life to running the snack bar at the Perry Street Arena and Civic Centre in Woodstock, a role through which she connected with numerous individuals and families in the area. In addition to her professional endeavors, she was a devoted volunteer at the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) and an active member of the Ladies of the Moose. Her contributions to her community were marked by deep compassion, embodying the values of service and care.

As a mother to seven children, Marion's proudest accomplishments were found in the joy and happiness she brought to their lives. She nurtured her family with unwavering love and dedication, finding fulfillment in her role as a caregiver. Marion's fondness for baking created cherished memories, and she willingly shared her culinary treats with those she loved.

Marion found immense joy in nature and outdoor activities, particularly boating on Lake Erie and summer camping at Boiler Beach, Kincardine. One of her favorite pastimes included visiting her sister at their cottage in Port Carling, Muskoka, where they spent quality time together, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. In her leisure time, Marion also enjoyed reading and writing long letters to friends with a spot of tea, maintaining close connections with those dear to her heart.

Marion is survived by her sister Deb, her children Randy (Sandra), Terry (Kara), and John (Laurie) and son-in-law Bill, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will dearly miss her presence. She is predeceased by her mother Winnifred, father Russell, brother Peter, brother Neil, Lyle Grills, daughter Donna, daughter Janet, son Kim, and son Russell.

A special note of gratitude is extended to Extendicare in London, where Marion received care over the past eight years, especially for the PSW's, also son-in-law Bill who would go weekly for visits and take her favourite candies and supplies, as well as to the physicians, nurses, and emergency services staff at University Hospital London for their compassionate care during her time in hospital. Marion will be remembered for her generous heart, her love for family, and the laughter she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire those who carry her memory forward.

As per Marion's wishes a private family viewing followed by cremation.
