Marion Agnes Skillings, born on January 8, 1929, in Innerkip, Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at Woodstock Hospital. She lived a full and vibrant life, marked not only by her extensive travels across many countries but also by her deep commitment to her work and community.
From a young age, Marion demonstrated a strong work ethic, beginning her career right after high school. She became a longtime employee of Canada Trust, previously known as Canada Permanent, and dedicated her professional life to this institution until her retirement.
Marion was deeply devoted to her faith and was an active member of Hope Church in Innerkip (former Innerkip Presbyterian Church). Her involvement in the church extended beyond mere attendance; she was a pillar of the community and contributed her time and effort to various church activities.
In 2014, Marion took up residence at Oxford Gardens, where she continued to embrace life with enthusiasm and grace.
She is survived by her cousins Patricia Gillespie (late Donald), Sharon Skillings (late Thomas), Bruce Skillings and Andrea Morrison, as well as Donna Skillings and Andrew and Rosa Peat. Marion will be fondly remembered by Ann Hoard (Stuart) and the Hoggarth Cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents, David (1965) and Lillias (1974) Skillings, who laid the foundation for her nurturing spirit and strong values.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with light refreshments available, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock.
