SINGLER, Maureen Patricia (nee Gardiner/McKinnon)

Pat passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on May 10, 2025, at the age of 79.

Cherished mother of Cheryl Bresowar (Rod), Melvin Bresowar (Robyn), Stacey Wadden (Chris) and Wade McKinnon. She was the very proud grandmother of Rebecca, Emma, Taiha, Ella and Ryleigh. Pat was the dear sister of Ron (Bernie), Andrea, Gary, Helen and Paul (Donna).

Pat will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends here in Ontario and in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Pat was predeceased by both of her parents Andrew and Polly Gardiner, a son Shane McKinnon in infancy, her sister Sharon McNeil (Jiggers) as well as her Aunt Mary Gardiner with whom she was very close. Also predeceased by her brothers-in-law John Micheal Tomiczek and Al Rempel.

Pat was fiercely independent and while spending most of her life in Cape Breton, she moved to Ontario in 2007. She spent a great amount of time at Southgate Center in Woodstock and made some friends along the way. She enjoyed dances and darts at the center and volunteered at the local Bibles for Missions thrift store for a few years. Many memories were made with family and special friends while she lived in Ontario.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held in Cape Breton at a later date followed by interment.
