With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Nicholas Anthony Brian Penny, more affectionately known as Nik, on Friday, June 13th, 2025 in his 33rd year.
He was reunited with his most favourite person in the world, his momma/granny Judy Penny(2014). Nik left behind his loving son Rowan Banks and his wife Karlie, his crazy mom Christine Penny and stepmom Tracey, his dad and mentor Shawn Kubik, and stepmom Abby. His little (A) sister Hailey Taylor and his adoring little sisters Devon and James Kubik. Awesome uncle to Amelia Johnson, Lucas, and Hunter Blackmore. His amazing Aunt Jenny and Uncle Scott and his fun-loving cousins Emma and Aiden Jull. One of his favourite people is his Poppa Brian Penny (Dorothy) and Gramma Pam Kubik. His Aunt Terri, great Uncle Barry, special Uncles Shane Sears and Will Cook, Aunt Robin Royles and many extended family members.
To all Niks bros/friends thank you for loving him for who he was. Nik lived life to the fullest. His love for being in the air followed him through life and all his adventures. When he entered a room you knew he was there because he was larger than life. To truly know Nik is to love Nik. He was 1 of a kind. His love for his family was fierce and he showed it in so many ways. No one could tell a story like him and those stories will be cherished forever.
The family would like to say thank you to the many specialists, doctors, and nurses at LHSC Critical Care Unit, especially nurse Nicole. Thank you for going above and beyond and helping us navigate through our difficult time.
I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
As long as I'm living
My baby you'll be
