Norm was born January 3, 1961, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at Sakura House. His life was marked by deep familial bonds and enduring friendships, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Norm was recently predeceased by his beloved wife, Cheryl, who passed in 2025. He will be dearly missed by his children, Nicole Groen and her children Jacob and Madilynn, as well as son Anthony Groen and Leslie (Doug) Nekoda. His siblings included the late Wynand, who was married to Sharon. Norm is survived by his siblings Simone, Andy (Jeanette), Trish (Nile), and Henry (Lee), along with several nieces and nephews who cherished his presence in their lives.

A lifelong friend to both Norm and Cheryl was Robin Armstrong, whose companionship spoke to the deep connections Norm fostered throughout his lifetime.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Friday April 24, 2026, from 12 noon - 3 pm at Brock & Visser Funeral Home Burial & Cremation Services Ltd., located at 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. If you so desire, donations to Sakura House would be appreciated.  

Norm's legacy is one of love, friendship, and quiet strength. His presence enriched the lives around him, and he will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
