Pamela(Pam) Brown… July 28, 1959 - October 15, 2023 (age 64).
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pamela(Pam) Brown announces her sudden, peaceful passing at Woodstock General Hospital, Sunday Oct 15, 2023.
Pam is survived by her loving sisters Judith, Lorna and brother-in-law Bob James(Donna).
Remembered by nieces and nephews, Shannon(Derek), Cameron(Jenn), Cory(Sarah), Heather(Kevin) and Christopher, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Predeceased by parents Don and Audrey Brown, sister Donna James, brother-in-law Brian Materi and brother-in-law Tom Ludlow.
Pam, a long-time resident of Woodstock, On., and born in Woodstock, was a very humble, private and thoughtful soul who will be remembered for her great love of animals.
She also loved her yearly camping trips into the wilds of Georgian Bay and the Muskokas.
Ontario beaches played an integral part in Pam’s summer experiences throughout the years, Grand Bend becoming an all time favourite.
If Pam were to pick an ideal location where to live, it would have included water, rocks and trees, a theme ever-present in her numerous photos.
Pam will also be remembered for her talent with many arts and craft projects. She mastered many art forms and won awards at local fairs for her attention to detail and consistency.
Her craft interests even trickled over to her work with the Thames Valley School Board, making posters and props for many school events at Tollgate School.
Pam’s career with the Woodstock Board of Education then later Thames Valley School Board started shortly after finishing high school and continued through to her retirement.
Pam will be remembered by friends and family for her dedicated “behind the scenes” support.
Also, behind Pam’s stoic demeanour lies a humorous, impish personality and when indulged on a whim, a rare but remarkable sight to behold.
Pam leaves behind a legacy of everlasting friendship, love, and hard work that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all the caring PSW staff of Bayshore Home Care Solutions, Home and Community Care Support Services SW, VON volunteers and the staff at Woodstock General Hospital that helped care for Pam over the past two years with her numerous health challenges.
We thank everyone for their support.
Respecting Pam’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
