Philip (Phil) Seymour
Number One Toronto Blue Jays fan, Philip Seymour, crossed home plate on December 22, 2025, just three weeks short of his 94th birthday in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Phil was predeceased by several family members. Most recently, his wife, Pauline, and daughter Lisa in 2021. Also predeceased by his parents, Bob and Alice, and brothers, Donny, Jimmy, and Tom. Survived by his brother Albert and his wife Barbara, their children Jeff and Shelley, and their families.
Phil retired from Fisher Controls and was a proud & active member of the Auto Workers Union now known as UNIFOR local 636. Phil leaves many families and friends with fond memories of his gentle good nature. Heartfelt gratitude to his Ontario family, Team Phil in Winnipeg, staff at Riverwood Square Retirement Community, staff at Victoria Hospital and to his special friends Jill Town and Noreen Stevens.
A big thank you to his beloved Blue Jays for coming so close in 2025 and allowing him many hours of baseball viewing time. He was so very proud of the Toronto Blue Jays, dating back to attending the inaugural game in 1977. Nobody could give you Blue Jay stats quicker and more accurately than Phil Seymour.
A private family service will take place in the spring. If desired, memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
